I know it hasn't been announced yet (officially...although CH 5 announced it a couple of weeks ago) but here is some proof that the NBA is officially recognizing our new team name as the Oklahoma City Thunder.

I was looking for the new NBA schedule on Wednesday while searching for the newest page ended up on this page posting the 2007-08 Sonics Schedule and results.  Only difference is it listed the team as the Thunder, both in the web address and the top of the schedule.

Still not convinced...

When I went to the 2008 NBA schedule for the scheduled opening night date (October 29th) of the new OKC team, and clicked on the link Oklahoma City...

it sent me here:

I didn't request http://www.nba.com/thunder/, I just clicked on the link that said "Oklahoma City" and it sent me to the FILE NOT FOUND page above.

That's enough proof for me.  Roll OKC THUNDER.
